Ethics

Without moral principles that govern a person’s behavior or the conduct of an activity, there would be chaos and disorder in our world far beyond what we see today. Ethics is one of the most important practices that human society can achieve if done properly. A great deal of thought and reasoning has gone into the process of creating a system of ethics, the real challenge is communicating these ethics to the people, and even more so, increasing the probability of individuals adopting this better way of living. We believe the Utopian Principles are a major step in that direction.

Human Rights

The USF supports the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights. A world without human rights is one of exploitation, abuse, suffering, instability, hate, and general negativity. Unfortunately, these human rights violations are all too common in our world today. The USF will do everything in its power to protect human rights.

Animal Rights

The USF supports common sense animal rights. That means that all animals should be respected as living things and should not have negative acts forced upon them unless it is a situation in which it must be done for the survival of human beings. For example, this specifically refers to the act of killing an animal for food. The USF believes that an animal can be raised in a respected way, where the quality of life is significantly better than how animals are traditionally raised as livestock, and in ways better than if they were in nature where there is a great deal of fear and greater concern for survival and finding their next meal. We believe there are more humane ways of killing an animal that are not normally done due to ignorance and economic reasons. We encourage the science and practice of providing the absolute best quality of life for all domestic animals from birth to death. In regard to animal testing, this should only be done if absolutely necessary and only in the most ethical of ways to save the lives of human beings or those of animals.
