Politics

Utopians encourage active involvement in democracy. That means voting is a must but going far beyond that, taking greater action. The democratic party of the United States aligns for the most part with our values of embracing science, logic, and human compassion.

Religion

Religion historically was created to provide answers, and purpose, to control people, to unify them, to educate them, as well as profit from them. Most, if not all, of our current religions, were created by human beings. Our intelligence allows us to wonder what is going on with our reality; this pondering leads us to want definitive answers, and a need for our life to have meaning and purpose.

Money

Money is a tool that assists with developing and operating an economy. It is viewed often as a tool for freedom and for power. Like any other tool humans have used, it has been misused. Money may or may not be used in future developed economies, but resources and technology will continue to be traded.

Blockchain

Blockchain technology has received a lot of attention starting with the advent of cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency like many innovations has benefits and disadvantages. It is not something that the USF currently encourages or discourages. However, blockchain technology has numerous promising applications; examples include, but are not limited to secure voting, greater confidentiality of medical records, smart contracts, and the combined future application of quantum blockchains. Currently blockchain gets negative attention due to the energy consumption that is involved. However, this would be a non-issue if powered by clean renewable energy infrastructure like the solar we have today, and even more so not a problem when we have integrated greater sources of energy production like that of fusion power in the not-so-distant future.
