Extraterrestrial Communication

I know from personal experience of someone who tried to make contact with extraterrestrials over a decade ago. That person had a practical way of trying to make contact, which was based on the concept that extraterrestrial life is already in our airspace, so it was more of a matter of signaling to them. I will not go into the details of the matter, but long story short, the U.S. federal agencies responsible for preventing this sort of situation (C.I.A, N.S.A, Air Force) from moving forward, intervened by threatening that individual in person by someone who could be best described as a hitman. There were other interferences targeting the individual afterward that in the civilian world would be considered highly illegal. However, in the world of national security, just about anything goes. With that said, contacting extraterrestrials is, in my opinion, very possible, but governments try to prevent this for what I believe are mostly legitimate national security reasons.

The main reason is to prevent adversaries from gaining knowledge and technology that can make them an even greater threat. It is well understood that Russia has the most nuclear weapons currently in the world, and in addition, is in possession of spaceship technology on top of that. Russia is currently being influenced by a dictator who is mentally unwell, and this is not uncommon unfortunately in world leaders of today. More nations are getting nuclear capabilities and other technological advancements; meanwhile, the humans governing these nations are just as unstable and ruthless as humans have ever been historically. So how do you prevent the type of nuclear attack that could be delivered almost instantaneously by spacecraft? Does this mean that human beings should not make contact with extraterrestrials? I think that answer is both a yes and a no. The truth, in my opinion, is people are already making contact, mostly not by their choice, but some of them are trying to make contact like Dr. Steven Greer’s CE-5 community via group meditation. Of course, there are reports of military facilities where extraterrestrial groups work along human counterparts, Groom Lake (Area 51), Antarctica, and underground on Mars, which was most recently reported by Former Israeli space security chief, Haim Eshed.

I think instead of committing espionage against civilians, governments need to make a law that says it is illegal to actively pursue making in-person contact with extraterrestrials by a civilian. Sure, this would imply that extraterrestrials are real, which is a day governments are postponing as much as possible. But I think it's a rational approach to take if you just look at even one aspect, which is the potential for disease. We did, after all, have a law for almost a decade called the Extra-Terrestrial Exposure Law, but this was out of concern that deadly organisms may have been brought back from lunar missions. With all that said, I think there is perhaps an approach to extraterrestrial communication that can respect national security and civilian safety. In short, it’s the idea of communication via space satellites. Imagine a small satellite that has several features for both signaling to spacecraft and communication in various other forms. For signaling, the satellite would have laser lights, LED lights with a full spectrum of color capabilities, and programmable customization to get attention. However, the lights could still be used for communication with morse code. There would also be a mobile phone to display actual words and sentences with communication being done with a live person working remotely. Unfortunately, due to not having air in space, communicating with audio would be challenging if not impossible. There would also be a camera with motion detection to be able to capture a potential spaceship or visual anomaly. I view this satellite almost like a visitor guest book, it’s optional, but someone or something might just check in. I also would compare this space-based approach to that of communicating on a dating app. It has its risks, but they are minimal when compared to meeting in person, which goes unsaid could be a nightmarish experience.

Launching a satellite into space has been until recently an expensive undertaking. However, the company B2space has technology that uses a giant helium balloon meant to lift an unmanned rocket up over the sea to a height of around 22-25 miles (35-40km). The rocket, carrying a satellite, will then take off into space to deliver its cargo. Afterward, the balloon will deflate and fall to earth to be retrieved from the sea. This approach is inherently cheaper as the smaller rocket will need a fraction of the fuel as it will not take off from the ground. Their goal is to eventually convert to hydrogen as helium is a finite resource, and there will be necessary fire safety features integrated as a result.

If any contact with extraterrestrials was made, it would in almost all situations not be shared with the public for reasons of national security, unless the Department of Defense decided to release it to the public. However, the information would be accessible to Members who were interested in learning about the experiment; this would require a nondisclosure agreement to not leak information to the general public. Information accessible exclusively to Members would sometimes require a non-disclosure agreement, but not always.
