Social Media
Social media can be a positive tool if done properly, and in moderation. One should be careful what is posted online, and aware of privacy settings. Do research on the companies that host the service you are interested in. Companies like Facebook have had a history of unethical practices, and unfortunately, they have something of a monopoly on their specific type of social network. It is your decision on whether you want to use that platform or other services they control, and any other social application for that matter; just know what you are supporting by using such services.
Pets
Having a pet if done correctly is an amazingly beneficial experience for both the owner and the pet. It is advised that if you take the responsibility of owning a pet that you do the necessary research involved to properly take care of the animal. There are some animals that might be in many cases better kept in the wild and not as pets. You should be honest with yourself, and ask the question: Is the animal better off with me? The pet/owner relationship should be as mutually beneficial as possible, as you are the one controlling this relationship. For domesticated animals, like dogs and cats in particular, explore the option of animal rescue as there are many animals in need.
Tattoos
Tattoos are a personal choice; it is not something we encourage or discourage. It would just be best to not be impulsive with the decision, and do the necessary research, carefully choose a trusted tattoo artist, and certainly not be under the influence of any substance while in the process of making the decision.
Humor
Humor makes life so much more enjoyable; it also is used as a defense mechanism for dealing with the challenges of life. We advise that one can say whatever they like regarding humor between trusted friends as long as there is a mutual understanding and greater level of communication. However, with people you may not know well, be responsible by being careful with what is said when you don’t know the audience.
