Indoctrination

The USF is against indoctrination in all its forms, as it goes against our belief in the importance of using critical thinking skills. Many religions use indoctrination to increase their number of followers for primarily wealth and or power. While all indoctrination is a problem from our perspective, we are particularly against the indoctrination of children regarding religion. A Utopian who has children might tell their kids about core aspects of the Utopian Survivalism belief system or they may wait until the children are older before discussing any parts of it. Ultimately, it is up to the parents as to how they would like to go about communicating with their kids about their belief system. The USF encourages educating the youth about life in general from an unbiased perspective, based on the individual needs of the child. There is a pattern often seen in families that raise their children within a certain religion; often the children embrace the belief without question, especially when they love and trust their parents. We want people to voluntarily choose to be Utopians, and not feel any pressure to do so.

Blood Transfusions

Blood transfusions are for needed medical care that can be a result of blood loss due to surgery or injuries. This medical procedure is often lifesaving. The USF highly supports blood transfusions and encourages anyone who can donate blood to help support this essential medical procedure.

Body Disposition

We believe that an individual should ultimately make the decision as to how they want their body to be treated after death. Certainly, the most practical and environmentally friendly way is that of cremation. Coffins or caskets are more expensive, they take up extra space within our finite land, and there are toxic chemicals used in the embalming fluid as well as chemicals used to process and finish the wood for the caskets that are detrimental to the environment. We do promote cryonics to preserve the mind and body in the interest of a possible revival of life with future technology. Cryonics takes some minor preparation to sign up, is expensive if paid for out of pocket, but can be done with life insurance for a very affordable monthly payment. The USF has the goal of working toward being able to offer this service at the most affordable price possible to our Members one day.

Career / Jobs / Occupation

The USF encourages individuals to do what they can to make an income in a way that does not conflict with Utopian principles. The economy at present time is a challenging environment for finding work and opportunities that have a high level of honor and social benefit associated with them. Unfortunately, many people are put into a situation where they must work whatever job they can get to survive, and often these jobs have far too many ethical problems. The USF is going to work toward creating a system to help employ Members in occupations that they can be proud of. The USF also encourages professionalism at work regardless of what one does for a living.
